Don’t miss Exomytis village and cape, which has become famous for its rock carved tombs One of the rocks has a carving on the tombstone of a huge viper, the 'Oxentra' or 'Exentra' which is Ancient Greek for 'Oxia" = viper. It is believed that near the cape, sunk in the deep sea, was the port of ancient Elefsina, which the great geographer, Claudius Ptolemy considered to be one of the cities of Santorini.
